DWD Industrial Services Ltd. is a family-run business built on experience, precision, and practical solutions. Founded by brothers Dean and Derek Chanin, the company unites hands-on welding and fabrication skills with technical design and applied mechanical-systems expertise.

Dean leads our portable welding and fabrication team, ensuring every on-site job is safe, precise and guaranteed quality workmanship.  Derek heads the Mechanical Engineering division, translating designs into workable plans, directing component layout, conducting testing, and verifying that every deliverable meets safety, efficiency, and performance standards.

With experience ranging from remote mining sites to custom fabrication projects on Vancouver Island, DWD delivers reliable, high-quality work backed by field experience. We aim for seamless workflows—with our “on the ground” fabrication work, and technologist-driven design, planning, and technical oversight. We take pride in offering tailored solutions that meet the demands of industry, with a focus on safety, quality, and innovation.
